Jaehee Cho is a scientist in the field of photonics materials and devices with more than 15 years of academic and industrial experience. Now he is an assistant professor at the Department of Semiconductor Science and Technology, Chonbuk National University (CBNU), Jeonju, Korea.
He has made significant contributions to the field of GaN-based photonics, in particular from 400-nm DBR laser diode; blue light-emitting diode (LED) with enhanced patterned sapphire substrates; photonic crystal embedded LED; high color-rendering LED; Omni-directional reflectors; nano-porous thin films; graded-index anti-reflection coatings; to leakage current analysis of the devices. He is an inventor or co-inventor of 35 issued US patents and has authored or co-authored more than 100 scientific publications. He is a member of SID, OSA, SPIE, and MRS and has received several awards from Samsung.
